THE FOUNDATION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF AFRICA (FDA), a non-membership, private, not-for-profit organization has, for more than 10 years, been promoting networking, business and investment opportunities, special projects, and joint venture initiatives in Africa to realize its vision and trademark phrase: "Less Aid - Let's Trade". All the FDA projects and its interconnected websites are used to promote business development throughout Africa and are currently ranked on the front page of most international search portals when searching for "business development Africa" - creating substantial exposure for organizations and individuals serving Africa.

The Southern African Power Pool (SAPP) was created with the primary aim to provide reliable and economical electricity to supply to the consumers of each of the SAPP members, consistent with reasonable utilisation of natural resources and the effect on the environment.
The members of the SAPP have undertaken to create a common market for electricity in the SADC region and to let their customers benefit from the advantages associated with this market.

The SA-NCC was launched in May 2005 in Sandton, Johannesburg. The SA-NCC is a non-profit organization created for the promotion, facilitation and assistance of Nigeria-related business.
SA-NCC was the second African bilateral chamber in a growing family of Chambers, and has been recognised by the Intergovernmental Committee of Experts of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa - Southern African centre as a best private sector practice in the promotion of regional integration.

The Standard Transfer Specification (STS) has become recognised as the only globally accepted open standard for prepayment systems, ensuring inter-operability between system components from different manufacturers of prepayment systems. The application of the technology is licensed through the STS Association.It has become established as a worldwide standard for the transfer of electricity prepayment tokens since its introduction in South Africa in 1993 and subsequent publication by the International Electrotechnical Commission as the IEC62055 series of specifications.

The Union of Producers, Conveyors and Distributors of Electrical Energy in Africa (UPDEA) was established in 1970 with its headquarters in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. It gathers 54 Active members and 21 Affiliate members (international). It is a non–profit continental organization and a preferred specialized partner of NEPAD, African Union Commission, UN-ECA and Regional Economic Communities as regards the promotion of the African power sector development. It also facilitates policy dialogue between the main donors and development partners and African power utilities and Agencies. UPDEA is a permanent member of the Executive Council of the African Energy Commission (AFREC) and a permanent member of the Management Committee of the African Electro-technical Standardization Commission (AFSEC). UPDEA is also the Coordinator of the Forum of African regional power pools. Its vision is to be the primary catalyst in the realization of access to electricity for all the peoples of Africa.
